Your details and this site
A painting enquiry needs a few personal details: your name, a way to call you back and something about the house. This page sets out what happens to them, under the rules of the Privacy Act 2020.
The details a painting enquiry asks for
Name, a phone number, an email address if you choose to add one, the suburb, the kind of painting, the rough age of the house and whatever you write in the notes box. The site also uses a call and form tracking service, explained below.
Call and form tracking
To learn which painting pages actually lead to quotes, this site runs WhatConverts, a call and form tracking service. Each visit logs the address of the page you are on, the site or link that sent you here and any campaign tags in that link. A phone call to the listed number logs the caller’s number and when the call came in; a quote form sent from here is logged as an enquiry.
Because of this, the phone number on these pages can be a tracking line that rings through to the business. WhatConverts stores these records for us. They are used for one thing, working out which pages bring in painting enquiries, and are never sold or used for advertising.
Who reads your enquiry
It is read by the people who will price and paint the job, and used to ask follow-up questions, book a look at the house and write up a quote. Your details are never sold or swapped, and they only leave that business if a law obliges it.
How long an enquiry is kept
For as long as the quote or the paint job is live, then for a sensible period after so a later question about the work can be answered. Want it gone sooner? Ask, and it will be deleted.
Checking or fixing what is held
Write to hello@eggshellandco.co.nz to see the record kept about you or to have something in it put right. Still unhappy after that? The Privacy Commissioner deals with privacy complaints.
How the form travels
Pressing send hands your enquiry to an outside form service, which emails it on. That service holds a copy only for as long as delivery takes.
